On March 17th my wife went to the doctor complaining of a persistent cough, a few days later an x-ray showed a mass in her right lung. She was a smoker; quit in '94.
On April 27 she was diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma; Stage IV Lung Cancer (non-small cell) there is no cure.
On April 28 she had her first chemo - it did not go well. Friday we were back at the hospital. Sunday back again and an overnight stay for hydration and anti-nausea drugs.
She was looking forward to working in her rock garden and dragon boat competitions.
She is a fighter. She is just 52.

Rasp, I was so sorry to read this. Your wife and you will be in our prayers.
Oh Rasp I am sorry, you both will be in our prayers.
Know you have a circle of friends, acquaintances and even kind strangers who will be saying a prayer for your wife and thinking strong positive thoughts. Stay strong!
Your strength and faith will sustain you through this. All the best.
Take care both of you.
You shall be prayed for.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I wish you both the best. I will keep you in my thoughts.
i M SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS.My thoughts and prayers are with you both.God bless you.
My thoughts are with you and your wife. My wife was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer and the doctors were very reluctant to proceed with chemo as she has other underlying health issues. After her mastectomy she began a round of chemo in the hospital to monitor complications. Six weeks later chemo was done, she had lost her hair, was incredibly weak but still with us. Five years later and (touch wood) no recurrence. As I have lost both parents to cancer I am always fearful of a return but have to get on with life. My wife is an inspiration to me as she refuses to quit and continues to fight every day. Keep your hopes alive.
How awful! Please know you're in my prayers.
Rasp...
I will say a prayer for your worries to be in vain and your wife's recovery be swift and complete.

I am so very sorry to hear this news -- praying for your family...
Please, don't give up hope. Where there is hope there is some potential for a turn-around in your wife's condition. Such things do occur, and medical science does not always have the answers.
Terrible news. Have courage. I am sure she will pull through. Prayers and best wishes sent your way.
God bless you and your family.
God bless you, your wife, and your family.
You and your wife are in my prayers.
Catfur emailed about your wife. prayers and healing thoughts going her way! Please consider also looking into homeopathy or other alternatives that can often help in conjunction with western meds. I know many people who have been helped by that.

My best wishes. This is terrible news, but remission can happen for no reason at all. Both of you keep up your hope.
May God watch over you, and your precious wife. And may He give you a peace that can come from no where else.
